Well, I apologize for not writing in a long time. I've had too much free time to have just enough free time to be wasting free time. Does that make sense? Well anyways I'm going to be talking about this guy:

Sorry, I know Halloween's not for a few moths but I thought I'd still give you a little fright. No actually I will be talking about this guy:
So, just for the record, I'm a bit of a Shakespeare freak. I have read a great deal of his plays and plan to read the rest of them in my big book of Shakespearian stuff. Anyways I signed up to be in this local performance of the Tempest, but that's another story. Anyways it got me interest in what are the best performances of Shakespeare in cinema. Well here's a list from some of the one's I've seen:
- Hamlet (1990 with Mel Gibson & Glen Close)- Now I love absolutely everything about this move except for the fact that it has Mel Gibson. I like Mel Gibson as an actor, but ever since the incident he's kind of annoyed me. The movie though is great and is set in what a medieval Denmark would probably be like. If you want to see an honest representation of Hamlet this is your best choice.

- Romeo and Juliet (1968 with Olivia Hussey and that one guy)- This movie is awesome. Set in Verona, Italy, this movie capture the teenage love of R&J in a old Italian city. This film is accompanied by beautiful music with it's recognizable Love Themes: What is a Youth and A Time For Us. I was considering putting this as number one, but considering that everyone wear's tights I though of putting it as number two.

- Throne of Blood (蜘蛛巣城 1957)- Well this movie is not for everyone. It's a whole lot less violent and stuff than most Macbeths but this version is from the 50s and well, it has 50s cinema. The main character is not called Macbeth and the setting is adapted, but I consider it a version of Shakespeare because it's the exact same plot. If you like Japanese cinema (the movie is in Japanese with English subtitles) this is the Shakespeare movie you've been waiting for.

Anyways this has been today's Just Another Sign I Have WAY Too Much Free Time. Till next time.
